Grace Hernandez went to her very first Yoga class in 2008 in an
attempt to relieve stress, anxiety and overall, to start a physical
fitness routine. After several classes, Grace noticed that the
physical strength and intellectual focus gained from working through
the Yoga poses allowed her to deal with the daily stresses of life
with more ease, understanding and acceptance.

Grace knew she wanted to become a Yoga teacher to help others become
more aware of their own physical, mental and emotional wellness. She
graduated with a 200-Hour teaching certification in Hatha Yoga from
the Yoga Teacher's Training Institute (YTTI) in Richmond Hill, NY,
co-founded and directed by Mokshapriya Shakti. Immediately after
graduation, she created the Yoga Program at the Red Dawn Combat Club
in Fresh Meadows, NY, teaching classes and workshops for 2 years
before venturing out to teach private classes for clients in
Manhattan and the Bronx. She's held group classes at Excel Yoga and
Martial Arts in the Bronx, Tournesol Wellness in Manhattan and for
the Yoga on the Hudson program, providing classes by donation along
the waterfront in Yonkers. She's volunteered at Hunter College's
Project Happy in Manhattan (a non-profit program offering free
fitness activities to children and adults with disabilities). In
addition to Belmar's, Grace currently teaches Yoga at St. John's
			University, Queens campus.

Incorporating Yoga into her daily life has motivated her to practice
other fitness activities such as running, hiking, surfing, bike
riding and now boxing at Belmar's! She is honored to be a part of
this dedicated fitness community and excited to be a part of your
fitness and wellness journey through Yoga.
