George Vatore has been a practitioner of the traditional art of
Ju-Jutsu (Traditional Spelling) for the past 17 years and holds the rank
of Menkyo. The word Menkyo translates to “license” meaning the
permission of education for practitioners of various Japanese martial
arts. The Menkyo system dates back to the 8th century. In present time a
rank of Menkyo solidifies a degree of Black Belt ranging from 5th-7th
Dan. The current belt colors associated with this rank are Red and
White. Once you reach 7th Dan, the color Red is worn above the White.
