In the 2024 Paris Olympic Marathon, amateur athletes have been given the opportunity to participate in the Olympic Games Marathon for the very first time in history.
To qualify for the race, runners had to earn 100,000 points by completing various running challenges in 2023.
Peter Belmar, successfully completed this challenge last year and have been chosen to take part in the race. He will be attending the Olympics this August to make history by running the Olympic Marathon.
The elite men's race will begin at 8:00 am on August 10th. The amateurs, including myself, will start at 9:00 pm and will run through the night. The elite women's race will take place at 8:00 am on August 11th to close out the Olympics.
