Alex Marchica began practicing martial arts at 5 years old. He started with basic fitness and now, in his adult years, he holds a green belt in Krav Maga and a first degree black belt in Filipino weapons based and hand-to-hand combat. Through all of his training, Muay Thai was always his biggest strength. As an amateur fighter in his teens, he held a record of 2 wins no losses.
Alex currently trains and teaches at Belmars. In his opinion, "it is truly one of the last bastions churning out top notch fighters with old school teachings." His classes incorporate plyometric concepts with light weight/high repetition movements and aggressive Muay Thai combinations. His philosophy is: "Everyday is leg day and you should want to do nothing but lay down after your workouts."
